Lead Estimator Qualifications: Demonstrate proficiency with all HeavyBid and Estimating processes employed by Skanska Estimating including: Equipment Buy/Sell analysis, Sub vs Self Perform analysis, Holding Accounts, Quote System, Estimate closeout procedure, JV Estimates, @Risk, etc. Proven experience managing an entire estimate of a moderate sized project under the supervision of a Senior Estimator or Estimating Manager. Coordinate closely with an Estimating Engineer to produce quantity takeoffs for use in preparing estimates. Knowledge of cost-based risk analysis. Proven ability to manage and direct junior estimating staff assigned to the pursuit and mentor a team. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience.
